Description
DCL-MZZ multi-turn electric actuator uses over torque protection type to close valve to make sure valve is fully sealed. Since diaphragm valve and small globe valve linear move by rotate drive, and these valves commonly need to be sealed by an over normal torque which is like screwing cap to a bottle.
So for closing direction, an large over torque protection is set, to make sure valve is totally sealed. While, we can see that if the torque of the closing direction and the opening direction is the same, then valve can not be opened, which is also same as that when unscrewing the cap from a bottle, we need even larger torque than screw it. So the opening direction over torque protection is 1 second later than motor starts moving to avoid motor stuck on the fully close position.
